A family week works better with one main outing a day and space to change your mind. This seven-day plan includes arrival and departure days. If you have seven full sightseeing days as well as travel days, use the extra time for rest or one additional interest rather than doubling every day’s activities.

Seven-day family route

DayMain planFamily adjustment
1Arrival and hotel areaRest after the flight
2DowntownOne booked attraction
3Old DubaiShort walk and lunch
4Desert afternoon or indoor swapQuiet morning
5Palm JumeirahWaterpark OR a lighter visit
6One family attractionCheck operating dates
7Flexible morning and departureProtect airport return time

Day 1: settle in before sightseeing

Arrange a transfer with the correct luggage space and child seating confirmed in advance. Check hotel check-in time and where you can wait if your room is not ready. Keep the first outing near the hotel and choose an easy meal.

Buy or organise essentials, save the hotel address and review the next day’s ticket time. A pool visit depends on the hotel’s access and supervision rules. Do not turn arrival day into a cross-city race after a tiring flight.

Days 2–3: Downtown, then a shorter Old Dubai walk

On day two, choose one main Downtown attraction, such as Burj Khalifa tickets or Dubai Aquarium. Allow for entrance walks and queues, then have lunch before deciding whether the children want more. Use the Downtown Dubai day plan for nearby options.

On day three, shorten the Creek and souks walking route to your family’s walking ability. A stroller does not guarantee easy boat boarding or continuous step-free access. Ask before boarding, and use road transport or stay on one bank when the crossing does not suit the group.

Day 4: desert afternoon or an indoor alternative

Keep the morning free before a booked evening desert safari. Tell the operator each child’s age and confirm child seating, activity restrictions, pickup time and return arrangements. Do not assume that every young child can join dune activities.

Ask whether a specific alternative without dune driving is available if needed. If it cannot be confirmed, choose an indoor family visit instead. A long afternoon and evening may not fit a toddler’s routine; the toddler planning guide offers a slower approach.

Day 5: choose one Palm experience

Make Aquaventure tickets the main outing if the group wants a waterpark. Check Aquaventure’s current conditions for each ride’s height restrictions, supervision and life-jacket rules. Waterpark admission, aquarium admission and animal encounters are separate unless the selected ticket explicitly combines them.

For a lighter day, choose a viewpoint or the Lost World Aquarium, then have a meal and return to the hotel. Follow the Palm Jumeirah day plan and check the exact ticket. A beach stop needs suitable conditions and confirmed access; keep it optional after a tiring attraction visit.

Day 6: one attraction that fits the children

Choose by interests and restrictions rather than trying to keep every age group on the same ride schedule. IMG Worlds of Adventure, KidZania Dubai or a shorter aquarium visit can be considered after checking the day’s operations, supervision and access. The teenagers guide helps families with older children choose their own priority.

Calendar checked 20 September 2026: LEGOLAND Dubai’s official site shows the parks closed and announces reopening on 7 October 2026. Recheck the calendar for your date before paying; choose an operating indoor attraction while the parks are closed.

Use the summer indoor plan when outdoor time is uncomfortable. Leave the evening unbooked so the family can rest or repeat a favourite nearby activity.

Day 7: keep departure flexible

Pack first and work backwards from your airline’s airport-arrival requirements. Keep any outing close to the hotel or a practical airport route. A late flight does not automatically make a safari or distant park a good departure-day choice.

For seven full sightseeing days, use this day as a flexible rest or shopping day instead. Budget for transport, meals, lockers and optional extras as well as admission. The family’s pace matters more than completing the table.

Build the week around confirmed bookings

Browse attraction tickets and city tours, or use our UAE attractions guide to compare options. Contact Friends Guide Travels with dates, hotel, group size and children’s ages. Ask for the final total, inclusions, pickup details and cancellation terms. A submitted request needs availability and final confirmation. Arrange any required visa assistance separately. The four-night, five-day family package is a shorter product, not this seven-day itinerary. Ask for a separate quote if you want a customised week, and distinguish attraction transfers from included admission.

Frequently asked questions

Is 7 days in Dubai family itinerary suitable for first-time visitors?

Yes, when you choose one main outing per day and allow rest. This version includes arrival and departure days, so adjust it if you have seven full sightseeing days instead.

How long should I allow for 7 days in Dubai family itinerary?

Allow a week including travel days for this version. Shorten outings around flight times, naps and each child’s tolerance for walking and queues.

Should I book 7 days in Dubai family itinerary in advance?

Reserve the main attractions and required transfers after checking your dates and every child’s eligibility. Keep one day flexible for weather, tiredness or changed operations.

What is the best time for 7 days in Dubai family itinerary?

Use the forecast to decide how much outdoor time is comfortable. Keep longer walks to suitable hours and use indoor alternatives when conditions call for them.

Does 7 days in Dubai family itinerary include hotel transfers?

No. This is a planning guide. Your selected package or excursion includes transfers only when the confirmed option states the route, pickup and return arrangements.

Is 7 days in Dubai family itinerary suitable for families?

It is designed around family pacing, but each activity has its own rules. Check age, height, supervision, access and vehicle seating before booking.

What should I wear for 7 days in Dubai family itinerary?

Choose comfortable clothing and walking shoes, plus the specific swimwear or other clothing required by a booked activity. Pack spare clothes for younger children.

Can I combine 7 days in Dubai family itinerary with another attraction?

Yes, if it is nearby and the family still has energy. Treat a theme park or waterpark as the main outing rather than adding it after another substantial visit.

What should I confirm before payment?

Confirm child ages and heights where required, dates, ticket inclusions, total price, child seats, pickup details and cancellation terms. Check park operations close to travel.

How can Friends Guide Travel help with 7 days in Dubai family itinerary?

Share your flights, hotel and children’s ages. The team can check a customised week; the separate four-night, five-day package is not automatically a seven-day booking.
