Dubai has plenty to offer outdoors, but summer is a different story. Once the temperature starts climbing, spending an entire afternoon walking around outside does not sound very attractive.

The good news? You really do not have to.

Dubai has built a huge part of its entertainment scene around indoor experiences. You can ski, see sharks, explore a rainforest, play games, visit a futuristic museum or simply spend a relaxed afternoon somewhere with good food and strong air conditioning.

So, whether you are visiting Dubai during summer or you already live here and have run out of weekend ideas, here are some genuinely useful things to do in Dubai indoors.

1. Make a Day of IMG Worlds of Adventure

If your family enjoys rides, IMG Worlds of Adventure is an easy choice.

It is a large indoor theme park with roller coasters, themed areas and attractions for different age groups. Since most of the park is indoors, you do not have to worry about moving in and out of the Dubai heat all day.

Families with teenagers can easily spend several hours here.

One small piece of advice: don't try to squeeze too much into the same day. After walking around a theme park for hours, another major attraction may feel more exhausting than exciting

.2. Experience Snow at Ski Dubai

Yes, you can actually spend part of your day in snow while it is extremely hot outside.

Ski Dubai is inside Mall of the Emirates and remains one of the more unusual indoor attractions in Dubai.

You do not necessarily have to know how to ski. Different experiences are available for people who simply want to play in the snow as well as those interested in skiing.

For families visiting from Pakistan, India or other warmer countries, it can be especially fun for children who have never experienced snow before.

And the contrast is part of the experience. One moment you are walking through Dubai in summer clothes, and shortly afterwards you are putting on winter gear.

3. Visit Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

If Dubai Mall is already part of your plan, the aquarium is easy to add.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo gives visitors the chance to see sharks, rays and many other marine species.

It is particularly convenient for families because everything you need is close by. After visiting the aquarium, you can stop for lunch, coffee or shopping without having to drive anywhere else.
