Arriving at Zayed International Airport (AUH) and staying in Dubai? An airport taxi or pre-arranged private transfer can take you directly to your hotel. The airport also lists an Airport Express shuttle to Ibn Battuta Bus Station in Dubai; plan a separate onward journey to your accommodation.
Choose a transfer
Airport taxi: Follow the airport signs to the designated taxi area and ask about the journey and fare before leaving. A taxi can suit travellers who prefer not to arrange a car in advance.
Private transfer: Arrange the vehicle and meeting point before travel. Confirm the Dubai hotel address, passengers, luggage, child-seat or accessibility requirements, and the full quoted price. Check waiting time and the procedure for flight delays.
Airport Express: The airport's shuttle information lists a service between AUH and Ibn Battuta Bus Station. Check its latest timetable, ticket rules and fare directly before travel. It does not take you to the hotel door; budget time and money for the onward trip.
How long should I allow?
Travel time depends on the Dubai destination, traffic, the chosen service and stops. Add time for immigration and baggage after landing, and allow a margin for your onward connection. For departure, follow your airline's check-in guidance and work backwards from the flight time with a realistic traffic buffer.
Compare the full cost
Ask whether a private quote includes parking, road tolls, waiting, taxes, child seats and a Dubai hotel drop-off. For a taxi, check the payment method and any applicable charges. For a shuttle, include the onward ride from the bus station. Prices and schedules can change.
