An Abu Dhabi desert safari combines 4x4 dune bashing, desert photography, sandboarding, a short camel ride and an evening camp with BBQ dinner. It is a complete evening experience for visitors staying in Abu Dhabi who want adventure and traditional activities in one organised package.

The booking panel offers four options: shared evening safari, shared safari with VIP seating, shared safari with quad bike and a private safari. Choose the option that matches your transport, seating and activity needs. Base-package inclusions should not be assumed to include VIP seating, quad biking or a private vehicle.

Safari Experience

After pickup from the confirmed Abu Dhabi location, the vehicle travels toward the desert. A tyre-pressure stop and safety briefing may take place before dune driving. The experienced safari driver then follows an approved route over the dunes, with speed and intensity adjusted for safety and conditions.

Photo stops depend on daylight, weather and the operating schedule. Sandboarding and a short camel ride are included as traditional desert activities, but queues or timing can vary.

Desert Camp and BBQ Dinner

The camp programme may include henna, traditional clothing photographs, soft drinks, water, a BBQ buffet and scheduled entertainment such as Tanoura, fire and belly-dance performances. Shows can change or pause during religious periods, official restrictions or operational changes.

Standard seating is included with the base safari. VIP seating should only be expected when the VIP package is selected. Food allergies, vegetarian requests and accessibility needs should be shared before booking, although specific menus cannot be guaranteed without confirmation.

Shared, VIP, Quad or Private?

• Shared safari: scheduled pickup and desert programme with other guests.
• VIP seating: shared transport with the selected camp seating upgrade.
• Safari with quad bike: includes the quad activity described in that package; age and safety rules apply.
• Private safari: reserves the safari vehicle for the confirmed booking group, subject to capacity.

Included and Not Included

Confirmed inclusions cover round-trip pickup, professional safari guide, dune bashing, camel ride, sandboarding, henna, BBQ dinner, soft drinks and the scheduled camp programme. The selected package controls private transport, VIP seating and quad-bike access.

Alcohol, long camel treks, buggy activities, private camp setups, premium table service, professional photography and unlisted extras are excluded unless added in writing. Optional activities may require separate waivers or identification.

Health and Safety

Dune bashing is not suitable for every guest. Pregnant travellers and people with serious back, neck or heart conditions, recent surgery or severe motion sickness should request a non-dune-bashing alternative and seek appropriate medical advice. Children must use suitable restraints and remain supervised.

Wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes, bring sunscreen and keep valuables secure. Follow the driver and camp team’s instructions. Routes, activities and timings can change because of weather, sand conditions or official safety requirements.

Best Time for an Evening Safari

Evening safaris operate throughout the year. Cooler periods are more comfortable at the camp, while summer departures can still be hot before sunset. Bring a light layer during cooler evenings and avoid heavy meals immediately before dune bashing. Sunset visibility depends on clouds, dust and the operating schedule, so a specific sunset photo cannot be guaranteed.
